Arts and Music
Each spring the Foundation supports the annual Monforton School Art Fair. This is a community event that supplements funding for the school’s visual, music, and performing arts programs. Children spend the evening actively engaged in making art while adults view students’ work and bid on auction items.
Athletics at Monforton School are entirely supported through MSF. The Monforton Miles 5K Race is our annual athletic sponsorship campaign and brings together the whole community. Competitive sports sponsored include boys' and girls' basketball, volleyball, football, and track; MSF seeks to continue to expand athletic offerings to students.
Students learn best through direct experience. MSF funds field trips through the Jog-a-Thon event to enhance experiential learning and involve students in the fundraising process. Historically, MSF has sponsored trips to museums, conducting research in Yellowstone National Park, on-site Montana history expeditions, and experiencing government firsthand with an annual trip to Washington D.C.
Curriculum and Instruction
MSF supports innovation and leadership in teaching. MSF awards grants to teachers and staff for instructional materials, curricular support, team-oriented leadership needs, equipment, and professional development.
Family and Child Assistance Fund
MSF provides financial resources so all students have access to educational and extracurricular opportunities. Warm clothing, shoes, groceries, medical, vision, and dental care are examples of assistance given.
MSF encourages utilization of technology in art and music, science, robotics, and children’s engineering. As technology advances, MSF sees the need for the students to advance as well.
Monforton School recognizes the importance of physical activity and play for all children. With the expansion of the school, MSF seeks to ensure that the playground is safe and enjoyable for all K-8 students.
